Because the Banqa card is a regulated product, we are required to verify who you are (Know Your Customer) before a card can be issued. The check is quick and runs right in your browser — no app download needed.
What you need
- A valid passport, national ID card or driver licence.
- A few seconds for a selfie / liveness check.
- Good lighting and a steady hand — most rejections are just glare or blur.
How it works
- 1From your dashboard, tap Verify your identity.
- 2Pick your document type and country.
- 3Photograph the front (and back, if asked) of your document.
- 4Complete the live selfie — follow the on-screen prompts.
- 5Submit. You can close the page; we email you the decision.

Most automated approvals finish within minutes. If we need a manual review, expect 24–48 hours.
If something is wrong
If a check fails, the email tells you exactly why — glare on the photo, a name mismatch, or an expired document — and you can retry from the dashboard with a fresh attempt. Your selfie biometric template is not stored after the match decision.
