Cardholder Agreement
Last updated: May 25, 2026
This Cardholder Agreement ("Agreement") governs your use of the BanqaVisa card ("Card") issued by Codego Group's licensed card-issuing partner ("Issuer") and serviced through the Banqa platform. It supplements the general Terms of Service.
1. About the Card
The Banqa Card is a Visa-branded card collateralised by your own USDC held in a non-custodial wallet ("Collateral"). The Card is not a credit card and not a deposit account: every authorised transaction is backed by your on-chain Collateral.
2. Eligibility
To request a Card you must:
- have an active Banqa account with successfully completed KYC;
- provide a valid residential address in a supported country;
- accept this Agreement and the applicable fee schedule.
3. Funding your Card
You fund the Card by sending USDC from any wallet to your unique deposit address on a supported EVM network (Ethereum, Base or Arbitrum). Deposits are credited after on-chain confirmation. You are responsible for selecting the correct network and asset — funds sent on a different network or in a different asset may be irrecoverable.
4. Spending
- The Card may be used anywhere Visa is accepted, online or in-store, including ATM cash withdrawals where supported.
- Each transaction is authorised in real-time against your available Collateral.
- Transactions are settled in stablecoin against your Collateral; FX conversion to the merchant's currency is performed automatically.
- You must not use the Card for any prohibited activity listed in our AML & KYC Policy or applicable laws.
5. Limits
Spending, withdrawal and top-up limits are displayed inside the app and depend on your verification tier, card type and risk profile. We may adjust limits at any time for risk or regulatory reasons.
6. Fees
Fees are disclosed in the in-app fee schedule and may include:
- card issuance and shipping fee;
- monthly or annual maintenance fee;
- transaction (authorisation) fee;
- FX conversion fee for non-USD transactions;
- ATM withdrawal fee;
- top-up fee on USDC funding;
- chargeback / dispute handling fee where applicable.
7. Lost, stolen or compromised Cards
You can freeze your Card at any time from the dashboard. If you suspect your Card is lost, stolen or has been used without authorisation, freeze it immediately and notify us at [email protected].
8. Disputes & chargebacks
If you believe a transaction is unauthorised or incorrect, contact us within 60 days from the date the transaction posted. We will investigate in accordance with Visa Operating Regulations and applicable consumer-protection law.
9. Liability
Subject to applicable consumer-protection law, you are responsible for all authorised transactions made with your Card. You will not be held liable for transactions made after you have reported the Card lost, stolen or compromised, unless you acted fraudulently or with gross negligence.
10. Termination
You may close your Card at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate the Card in cases of breach of this Agreement, suspected fraud, sanctions, AML concerns or regulatory request. On termination your Collateral remains under your control in your self-custody wallet.
11. Self-custody risk
12. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Walesunless mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country apply.
